Reports and Publications :: 2002 Report
Introduction

Since the November 2001 release of its first comprehensive set of recommendations, the Partnership has been engaged in four major areas of activity:

  • First, the Partnership has continued to build community awareness on the importance of building developmental assets for our children and youth.
  • Second, the Partnership has used this year to engage with the County, Schools and the community as a whole to understand and follow-through with the 2001 recommendations.
  • Third, the Partnership has continued to review and study the data it has gathered on Arlington youth and implications of that data.
  • Finally, the Partnership has faced and is working through the challenges inherent in this unprecedented approach of having School and County staff and citizens working together to create meaningful change and related resource allocations.

Each of these areas of activity is described in more detail in Sections I-IV below. Section V is an update on Partnership leadership, membership and staff. Section VI lists the priorities established for 2003-2004.
